Intro

This is the categories page. Below I will go into further detail about the different categories accepted for this page.

Nature

Nature is defined as anything natural. The trees, the grass, the clouds, the rivers, the ocean, the sand. Anything that can be described as mostly nature. You can take a picture of a park with no building structures. Or a old park being reclaimed by mother nature. Nature doesn’t always have to be still subjects like flowers or leaves. You can tackle the challenge of catching a live animal drinking or eating or sleeping. Anything of this variety will count in the nature category. The choice is yours. You get the picture. Now go get the picture. Include in your submission under the “Any Comments?” part of the submission is nature.

Man-Made

Here are the rules for participating in this photo submission contest. Please post within one of the three themes chosen on the themes page. It can be from nature, people or manmade photography. The biggest limiting factor is file size. I will only accept and post photos on the site if they are 1mb in size of smaller. Another rule is the photos have to be unaltered. So that means no photoshop or any other image editing/adjusting/altering software may be used. Final rule is that the works must be your own. Not a photo you found and think it will win the contest, but a photo you took in order to win.

People

People is probably the most versatile subject since it can be combined with any of the other subjects I mentioned earlier. A person standing in an abandoned building reclaimed by nature with a dog drinking water fits into all the categories. A person standing alone says enough with the proper environment or environmental effects. Such as rain or snow. This brings in nature again. But alone a person can be subject based on what they are doing. Like jumping and the person is paused in the air by photo. Riding a horse and driving a car a couple of other examples where the person is the subject and what there doing is the story.
